Originally released under the bandname Halcyon days. Since a lot of acts with the name "Halcyon Days" are active we decided to ask chatGPT for a new name. Machine command was the suggestion. And we couldn't find another band with this name. Machine command it is!

HALCYON DAYS started around 1998 and made acid house and released three albums in the 1998-2001 period. After this DJ KRAT started The Peoples Republic Of Europe of which TT MAGNUS was also part in an earlier lineup.

After seeing the EBM scene decline into cyber/aggrotech retardness DJ KRAT decided that the best way to battle this was to be the chance he wanted to see. He reformed Halcyon Days and recruited TT MAGNUS to deliver the vocals. His lyrics concentrate on topics as the current economy, NSA eavesdropping, the tyranny of the beat, European (and Rotterdam) nightlife and bad girls.

HALCYON DAYS is a return to the EBM of the 80's, and especially to reconnect it with influences of funk like one could hear in the music of acts like Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and Cabaret Voltaire. A strong sensibility for grooves, good vocals and pounding beats is what gives HALCYON DAYS a refreshing new look at a genre like EBM. No cyber retardness, just plain EBM as it should sound!
